The Volvo EX90 is an upcoming electric flagship SUV from Volvo, set to be launched in 2025. It is described as Volvo’s first purpose-built electric vehicle and is expected to be a significant entry into the electric era for the company. The EX90 is designed to be a 7-seater SUV, offering a spacious and luxurious interior. It will be equipped with advanced safety features and is expected to have a driving range of about 300 miles per charge. The starting price for the EX90 is anticipated to be under $80,000, making it an attractive option in the electric luxury SUV segment. The vehicle will be available in two trims—Plus and Ultra—and will feature a dual-motor powertrain with two strengths. The EX90 is also expected to showcase Volvo’s next-generation safety and driver-assistance technologies, including a new driver-monitoring system.

Kia EV9

Families eagerly awaiting an electric SUV have been waiting for this one. It is inventive, boxy, and has a spacious third row that can accommodate full-size passengers or kid car seats. Although the EV9 officially went on sale in December 2023, the majority of shipments will begin in January. Federal tax incentives are also available to buyers who can wait until mid-year; Kia plans to shift production to its West Point, Georgia, plant.

Cadillac Escalade IQ

The Cadillac Escalade IQ is an upcoming, all-electric luxury SUV that is set to be released in late 2024. It is the first-ever all-electric Cadillac Escalade and is designed from the ground up with architecture specifically engineered for electric propulsion. The Escalade IQ is expected to offer a range of innovative features, including a curved 55″ diagonal touchscreen display, executive second row, and trunk, which offers 12.2 cubic feet of front storage. The vehicle is estimated to have a range of 450 miles and will feature advanced cruise control technology, a four-wheel steer for improved maneuverability, and DC fast charging, which can provide up to 100 miles of range in about 10 minutes of charging time at public stations.

Lincoln Nautilus

Lincoln wants to create the ultimate sanctuary, which is why the Nautilus is the first SUV to offer a “coast to coast” screen in addition to a secondary screen. Users can customize the fragrance to suit their mood and sync it with ambient lighting, screen settings, and music. Together with a more potent hybrid powertrain, a new exterior design, and a new light signature, all of this will come packaged.

Hyundai Santa Fe

This one took the automotive world by surprise when it debuted. Despite not being significantly bigger than the previous generation, its boxy design makes the interior feel more roomy, and a third row is now standard. Hyundai responded to consumer demand for SUVs with adventure potential by creating the 2024 Santa Fe, which is equally suited for off-roading and the carpool lane.

BMW X2

For 2024 BMW aligns the X2 with the rest of the product line-up, with a new shape, size, and more capability. It’s essentially a coupe version of the X1, which got a full makeover last year, and a diminutive version of the uber-chic X4 and X6. But it’s also packed with possibilities. BMW had so much confidence in the 2024 X2 that they entered a pre-production model in the Rebelle Rally and won a place on the podium.

Lexus GX

When Lexus unveiled the updated GX last spring, people were in complete shock. This four-wheeler, which is well-liked by off-road and towing families, has undergone updates throughout the entire range, making it even more luxurious and tough. Lexus is making sure that nothing is left to chance by enhancing the adventurous experience with additional equipment, options, and add-ons.

Genesis GV80 Coupe

The Genesis GV80 Coupe is an upcoming luxury SUV that is set to be released in 2025. It is designed to offer a sporty and dynamic driving experience, combining the characteristics of a coupe with the versatility of an SUV. The vehicle will be available with a supercharged 3.5T e-SC powertrain, delivering exhilarating performance and a maximum output of 415 horsepower (PS) and a powerful maximum torque of 56.0 kgf·m. The interior of the GV80 Coupe is designed to be driver-centered, with a focus on utilizing white space and offering refined yet exciting touches. The vehicle will also feature a 27-inch OLED display, expansive cabin space, and high-end luxury touches throughout. The price of the 2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe is expected to start around $70,000 and go up to $80,000 depending on the trim and options. The GV80 Coupe will be offered with three different engine options, all of them gasoline-powered. A turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder is standard and makes 300 horsepower, but a turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 is available as an option.

Toyota Land Cruiser

One of Toyota’s most popular SUVs left the market briefly, much to the dismay of customers who relied on the Land Cruiser for decades of family driving and 4-wheel drive capability. And while it returns with many heritage touches, from color palettes to off-road equipment options, many of those former owners may be disappointed: It is not returning with a third row. Still, expect this one to pluck a lot of heritage heartstrings for its nod to the past.
